Thank you for visiting our website. We believe your stay at The Knowe B&B should be memorable for all the right reasons and to reassure you that we take your comfort, safety and well-being seriously, we hope you will read our full COVID-19 Operating Policy, which is available HERE. We are now fully compliant to the COVID-19 Industry Standards accredited by all National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, our certificate is displayed and a copy is available on request.
We hope to meet you in person sometime very soon, but in the meantime, here's a little bit about us and the history of our beautiful home.
The Knowe was formerly known as 'North Manse' a Ministers dwelling house owned by The United Free Church of Scotland until 1930's when it was sold for the first time as a private home. Only a small number of families have resided here; The Hunters from 1930's - 1970's, The Lawrences from 1970's to 2011 and then us, Karen and Harry Hall.
A 'potted history' of The Knowe is available to read HERE
